Deborah Pinkney is an animator raised in the Atlanta area and currently based on the Eastern Shore. She aspires to work on animation for children and young adults. Deborah loves working on character driven pieces which allows her to act without ever having to go on a stage. In 2018, she earned a B.F.A. in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design concentrating in 2D character and is looking forward to the next chapter in her career.

Since graduating, Deborah has illustrated a book and has taken on a few animation commissions. She continues to create stories in her free time. She's drawn to stories that mix the mundanity of life with magic. In 2023, she became a member of the Black N Animated community.

When she's not working on her art, Deborah can be found reading or roller-skating while listening to musical soundtracks.
